Mr. President, I won't be able to certify the election on Monday unless you promote me (the SoFA when the office was abolished) to Secretary of Elections (or something like that...).

I will gladly remain in that role until you find a suitable replacement for me.

I had assumed that there would be a carryover until a replacement was found. (most of my requests for people to fill positions have been...unresponsive recently until the 11th hour. Sad ) In that case I formally nominate you to fill that position for the moment.

This doesn't require a confirmation, correct?

Joe Republic's idea was about splitting voter registration and elections into two different positions was finally implemented 4 and half years after he came up with it.

Mr. President, there has been recent concern expressed regarding my tenure as GM in the midst of an election campaign. As I serve at your pleasure and the pleasure of the Senate, I ask that you consider determining a suitable replacement in the event that you or the Senate decide that I am no longer fit to serve.

IF anything, perhaps a hiatus rather than a resignation is in order?

Do you have a deputy GM you can temporarily turn things over to? If not, get one ASAP

There is a deputy GM, but not for that particular purpose.

28 April

I want to announce that Franzl, if he is still willing 'continue' in the new post of Secretary of Federal Elections.

I would like to thank the GM for his statement; I will chew over it for a while. I believe he is a fantastic GM but I can see the concern in him holding that post as the supervisor of the 'sandbox' in which we play while also running for office.

Yes, I'm happy to stay in that role.

Mr. President, the Animal Protection Act is back on your desk, with your modifications approved. The Deregistration of Banned Members Bill is on your desk as well.

Do you mean the fact that hawkeye keeps asking the same question, or that aflietch won't answer it?

Yeah, sorry, the fact that Afleitch has thusfar refused to answer this question despite the fact that we are merely a few days away from June. I've asked him repeatedly in private. Purple State has asked him repeatedly in private. He won't answer it in public despite routinely being asked. I've stayed away from directly confronting him on this issue to be nice, but I'm getting a little irritated that he won't answer. (And I want some opposition.)

There is an AG, SOEA, RG and SOFA, don't know about a SOIA; and likely no President or VP though.
