Senator Sherrod Brown sends his condolences and states the Brown family will be in his "thoughts and prayers."  All campaign appearances have been suspended for the week out of respect for the late Governor.

Lowden spends the day in Massachusetts with the Brown family. The media is closed off, though one reporter snags a photo of Gail and Sue in an embrace. Lowden states afterward that she can't even think of the campaign now, and out of respect for the Brown family, will not campaign for several more days.

After meeting with Senator Lowden, Gail Huff released a statement in support of her:

"Sue and my husband came to be good friends during their time together in the Senate.  Throughout this campaign that friendship held strong.  My family is still in mourning over the loss of my husband, but let me say that there is no one in this race more qualified to be President than Sue Lowden.  Scott would agree."

Senator Sherrod Brown appeared with Senator Russ Feingold in Des Moines, Iowa; where the former Presidential candidate officially endorsed the Ohio native.

"If anyone has any doubt about the drive and convictions of Senator Brown, let me be the first to squash those doubts.  In my many years of public service I have never seen a Presidential candidate with the heart and all around Progressive agenda that Senator Brown possesses.  It's going to be a long journey to the White House, but with your help we can make sure that Senator Brown is the next President of the United States!  'It's about you' America!"

Senator Brown took the stage and praised the hard work that Senator Feingold placed into "raising awareness for the most pressing issues facing America in decades."  Brown went on to state that "Senator Feingold is a trusted friend and colleague who's support I humbly accept."

Cantor continues hitting Iowa before takign a tour of the rust belts.

Cantor makes stops in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and New Jersey.

We must create a better future for America. We need strong jobs, we need to save jobs and we need to create jobs. Tax cuts will be the key to unleashing our economy in all aspects and providing for our people.

Senator Lowden stops by Iowa, before traveling to Missouri, Indiana, and Ohio.

My friends, the future for America is dim. A socialist, liberal agenda has been shoved down our throats. It's time to stand up to that, for the sake of America! Under a Lowden administration, we will have a smaller government; no more wasteful spending or programs that are a waste. A key part of my plan will be to cut earmark spending! With that extra money, we will give tax breaks to American homes and businesses. A brighter economy is just around the corner. Let's elect the right leaders so we can get around that corner!

Cantor travels around California.

Americans, it is time for a better country. We have gone down a socialist path, a government takeover of our economy, of our health care, of our rights. It's past time to say enough is enough, it's time to act. We need you making the choices for our country, not Washington politicians with no real world experience. We need you running our business. We need you running our nation. Let's stand together and fight for liberty!

Senator Sherrod Brown appeared at a rally in San Francisco, California alongside Senator Barbara Boxer touting his plan to finish reforming health care.

"We've come a long way in the fight for universal coverage for all Americans, but there's still plenty of work to do.  The first step is creating a public option for individuals who can't afford quality private insurance on their own.  On top of that, we'll increase penalties and regulations for insurance companies that break the rules.  In a fair America, corporations should follow the rules just like everyone else does!"

Senator Barbara Boxer concluded the rally with a fiery speech declaring Senator Sherrod Brown "a man who'll fight for the average American in Washington."

Cantor makes stops with endorsers all around Iowa, holding town hall meetings and speeches.

The caucus system is great. It's really a way to get those who care most of our government to decide their party's nominee. I am confident we will win with our clear conservative message.

Cantor will stay in Iowa until the caucus results.

Senator Lowden speaks to a crowd in Burlington, Iowa...

We can win this state! Polls currently show us close here, and I believe we can if we all pitch in to work hard, and let Iowans know what a Lowden administration would do for them. A Lowden administration would give you tax breaks, a lower national defict, and better schools for your children. We can make America great again, and I believe my conservative principles will.
