Don't have a link yet, but it's in today's NY Daily news.  He says things are trending towards Kerry in the national tracking, as well as in the battlegrounds.

Watching Zogby on election day could be telling.  Throughout the primaries he would tell one story with his polls for days, then, on the day of the primary, he came out and say something different.  His last statement turned out to be accurate, while the rest proved to be a very good story to tel of a much closer race.

He spent days screaming Dean was alive in New Hampshire, close race anc could go either way.

On the day of the election he released a bulletin saying it was not close.

He did the same in Iowa.

If he is on TV singning a different tune on 11-2, Kerry is in trouble.

If he sings the same song, who knows?  He could be right or off his rocker.

Yeah, golly, just a few days ago not only was Kerry not getting an even break in the undecideds, there weren't even enough left to get Kerry over the top IF they broke his way.

What a CYA job - Cover Your Ass. Zogby is a blowhard and hits the ball because he swings at it 500 times. Good grief.

He was on the Daily show and predicted a Kerry victory.  His rationale was that the undecideds will swing Kerry and Bush isnt topping 48% in polls- at least his

Even CNN has backed the rationale that the rest of the undecideds will go Kerry's way.   That's because the late undecideds are said to have gone for the challenger in every election since polling started.

However, they went for Gore in the closing days of '00, and Gore was not the challenger.     Voters have an understanding which they get from the media that every Democrat is the challenger, even in Gore's case in the last election.  Democrats get the underdog vote, and the women who don't want to tell their husbands, and keep quiet about who they plan to vote for.

Zogby really is an interesting dude.  One would expect him to believe his own polls.  What do his state tracking polls say from what counts; EV votes.  Look at his 6 nights of published polls and take the net difference in EV's from 2000.  I may have added wrong, but here is what I get

Bush + 23 EV's
Bush + 13 EV's
Bush +   6 EV's
Kerry + 24 EV's
Bush +   4 EV's
Bush +   5   EV's

Now, I don't believe in his state polls but we have the right to ask the question.  Is the basis of your predictions, you're poll numbers or your gut?

I think, it is clear

Early in the week, Zogby's SD poll showed Thune up 9 or 10.  Zogby said in an interview that the poll didn't look right so he reweighted the numbers and re -analized them and got "a result that looked a lot better".

Very scientific.

A poll blows up so he just changes the numbers around.  LMAO.

Interesting.  I think it is important for the posters on this board who have faith in Zogby simply look at the numbers and decide what those numbers tell them
