It may be R2K, but for some reason, I'm inclined to believe this. I think Grassley's reelection chances may have tripped and fell when he let Conlin outfund him.

Not only that, Culver is making a strong comeback and may beat Branstand.

Wasn't there another poll that showed a similar result to this? Pretty sweet.

I still think Grassley got lucky that his re-election is this year, and not earlier.

And I'm not that sure he'll even be that lucky this year. In terms of weak incumbency, I personally feel he's second only to Richard Burr.

That's pretty much the case for every Republican running this year.

Conlin always had pretty good name recog for a second tier challenger, and she was always going to rock in the fundraising department.

But, to defeat such an established (although crazy) incumbent in this poor enviro, Conlin needs a hook and I have no idea what that is.

If anyone ever gets defeated because of something he tweeted, it'll be Grassley.

Pretty much the same result as Rasmussen. Interesting.

Um, first women to be elected to congressional office in Iowa might be the most obvious? Idk, maybe she can use it to her advantage to make turnout among women higher, since men will probably be in favor of Grassley no matter what.

I meant a hook against Grassley.   Not necessarily a Macaca moment, but something compelling.

Mmm, well maybe she can use those times where he touted some stimulus and health care stuff back home despite voting against it. But "he was against it before he was for it" seems kind of blah, to be honest.

Grassley has been voting in favor of FinReg recently. It's nice to see Conlin's candidacy have an impact now, no matter how limited.
