Scoop Jackson/Lloyd Bentsen

vs

Pete DuPont/Howard Baker

vs

George McGovern/Mark Hatfield

A special scenario, based off of "The Second Term of Gerald Ford."

Scoop Jackson is the incumbent President, presiding with a mildly improved economy (unemployment, inflation, and taxes still high) and a war with Iran following the hostage crisis. (Support for the war is in the high 50's, though anti-war sentiment is fervent, whilst pro-war sentiment is tepid)) Governor Pete DuPont wraps up the nomination, running under a pro-war banner. McGovern and Hatfield, both losing their respective primaries, run on an anti-war ticket.

States in which McGovern/Hatfield is on the ballot.

How does the election play out?
