Livingstone has jumped in for another go. Former MP Oona King, who lost her seat to George Galloway in 2005, is the only other declared Labour candidate right now.

I see Londoners have discovered the joy of ticket-splitting.

Merton & Wandsworth first constituency seat to declare; Labour up about 7%, Conservatives, LibDems and Greens all down a point or two. Conservatives still win of course.

Here is the second vote totals for everything but Enfield & Haringey, Brent & Harrow and Croydon & Sutton (which for whatever reason is missing the Mayoral results in the PDF they posted).

Boris: 199,751
Ken: 264,927

Adding that to the first votes from everywhere but Enfield & Haringey and Brent & Harrow...

Boris: 1,061,118
Ken: 1,018,363

51-49

They found the results from Croydon & Sutton it seems. Recalculating...

Boris: 217,961
Ken: 284,386

Boris: 1,079,328
Ken: 1,037,822

Still 51-49

They appear to have finished counting. God knows when they'll let us know what they came up with.

Ken: 1,131,272

50.3 to 49.7

Something smells weird about this. I'm not sure I'm adding properly.

Ah - I've discovered my error. These include second votes for people who put the other major party as their first vote. In the final count those won't actually be included.

So forget everything I've posted regarding the second votes.

Brent & Harrow has reached 100% of the vote counted on the website twice only to be changed back to 99% or 98%.

I mean, this still is probably a whole lot quicker than a hand count.
