It's horrific; I knew this area fairly well and like it a lot

Police are saying that this was a mixture of grudge killings (media speculation is that this was over a will; the dead include his brother and the family soliciter) and 'random killings'. Apparently he was licensed to have the guns he did (or so the radio tells me) and had previous convictions for theft, but no known history of mental illness.
