Eugene McCarthy is allowed to debate in the Democratic Primary in 1992, and pulls in an upset win in the 1992 New Hampshire primary, he gains momentum and defeats Bill Clinton and Tom Harkin for the Democratic Nomination. McCarthy chooses Tom Harkin as his running mate to shore up Labor Union support. George H.W Bush and Perot still run with no other changes.

Eugene McCarthy/Tom Harkin (Democratic Party)
George H.W. Bush/ Dan Quayle (Republican Party)
Ross H. Perot/James Stockdale (Independent)

While I can actually believe McCarthy, with Democratic nomination, could defeat sinking Bush, such a large victory for a really old man out of public view is problematic.

I assume Perot would actually win some EV in such scenario.

Uh yeah that's pretty ridiculous considering McCarthy would have taken away most of Perot's support on his own signature issues.
