xkcd varies between funny and incomprehensible. This one is the latter.
Yeah, that was neither as far as I'm concerned. Tongue

Correction: You only win the World Cup if James Callaghan is Chancellor of the Exchequer. Seriously. Look it up. Whenever James Callaghan was Chancellor of the Exchequer, you won. When he wasn't, you didn't. I am certain that there must be a connection.

A rather pointless and not a pretty building. Looks worse in real life than on postcards, too.

Which part?

Lib's new one is self-explanatory. There used to be a time when his signatures were much funnier than anything he ever wrote in posts, but maybe too many people complained to the mods or something.

That sun is setting. Since it's in the northwest and all.

Lol. Of course the things he means in sentence one are not exactly in the top 90% of your hot button issues... and he was probably somewhat mistaken about them, anyways... but great quote nonetheless.

Very pretty picture. Unfortunately she's not quite that attractive in real life, but she'd still have my vote (and not for her looks... though probably for her background as much as her exact politics).

Yeah, people will also claim Ravalomanana or Saakashvili came to office through elections. Same thing except without 55 years to cloud memories.

I'm aware, I just find amusing to use the phrase in this context. (skippedy skip)

Note to Roch: Change sig or stop posting in this thread.

It's only fun if everybody who plays changes their sig once they've collected some opinions on it.

Disagree with the first sentence Tongue (or agree only on certain conditions). Agree with the second, and literally laughed at the last one.

I wonder what signifiers are at use here? Is it graffiti or by design?
By design. This is a statue of an ancestor doubling as an ancestor worship shrine, by some hill people (I could check the url... Smiley ) in Central Vietnam.

Just so happens that the ancestor being worshipped died serving in the North Vietnamese Army during the Vietnam War.
