I'm real surprised to learn that Democrat John lynch beat Republican Governor Craig Benson in Dixville Notch 14-12. I don't know the gubernatorial results in Hart's location.

MSNBC reported the results for Dixville Notch, NH.  The results are:

Bush:                15 votes
Kerry:                15 votes
Nader:                 1 vote

Signs and Portents?  ;-)

More evidence Bush is toast.

Only mypalflounder would call a tie a victory.

Yep

First I've ever heard of a Democrat coming close in Dixville Notch.

       It's only Dixville Notch, but....

Bush and Clinton tied there in 1992, I think.

Clinton got 4th place in 1992:

George H. W. Bush - 15
H. Ross Perot - 8
Andre Marrou - 5
William J. Clinton - 2

Man, I can't believe we spent three pages analyzing about 60 votes.

We were all a little off our rockers around election day I think.

I'd like to point out that mypalfish was actually, disturbingly, the Voice of Reason in this thread...briefly:

I just looked it up on the Atlas here: Hart's Location was Bush 17 Gore 13 in 2000. So a 2 vote switch, same as Dixville Notch. Hart's Location seems to be a pretty good national bellwhether.

Maybe, but NH is almost a home state advantage for Kerry, so it may not be so bad for Bush.

Mypalfish actually also said this:

Kerry was the Pop Tart.

(Ah, this thread was started in fun, hence my "liberal media bias" comment.)

I mean really looking back, I cant believe we all sat here and were either depressed or elated when seeing these results.

Good Lord, I posted this as a joke.  Signs and Portents was a key episode in the first season of Babylon Five.  I really didn't think that we should draw any conclusion from 60 votes!

With Bush's victory we are all Sleeping in Light instead of dealing with The Coming of Shadows.

And with a Bush victory, there will be No Retreat, No Surrender.  ;-P
