Two questions:

1. That guy in WV won't make the difference, but is he still planning to give somebody (who?) other than Bush his Electoral Vote?

2. If the electoral college had 2 less electors for each state, what would the out come be? Anybody got a spreedsheet handy?

OK. I looked it up myself; no point in being lazy (well, there is often a point to be being lazy, but that's off topic). Any way, if each state had two less electors (ie, substract the senate count in EV distribution, which makes things a bit more like the popular vote distribution), and assuming Bush takes IA, NM, and Ohio. The Electoral Vote would be Bush 224 and Kerry 212.  Which is 49% to 51% which is a bit more proportional to the popular vote distribution, as of now at least.
