My Life, by Slick Willie Blythe. Filled with "conservatives are evil, liberals are right, I'm smarter than you." And besides that, it's 10,000 pages long!!!

His name is William Jefferson Clinton. And it's 1,008 pages long--something which should take about a month to read, or even less than that if one enjoys reading.

Here in the states, that what we call him, thank you very much. And I was being sarcastic - it took me about a month to read it, yes

Lee Edwards, Freedom's College, a puzzling history of Grove City College, mixed with invective against civil rights and federal college loans.

Sense and Sensibility I'm still not sure what my 10th grade English teacher was thinking in assigning it. Oh, my 15 year old students will just love reading a prissy 200 year old romance novel.

It's more than a month later, but I just wanted to remind everyone how much I really hate Return of the Native.

Atlas Shrugged. It is a loathsome, pathetic screed that goes on 1,000 pages too long.

To preachy, the characters tend to engage in monologues, and probably not the best choice to read the week you retire, but a good plot.

In college, I undertook a god awful endeavor comparing the New American Bible and the Authorized King James Version (New Testament only) for a god awful paper.  Needless to say, I'm no longer close to a practicing Christian--if I ever was.

I've read books half that size in 24 hours...

Wall Street and the Bolshevik Revolution by Antony L. Sutton

I'm not sure why I bothered to read it, but I was too curious on how much of a piece of sh**t it would be when it was posted in HTML format in the History Forum earlier.

Besides that its probably The Forgotten Man by Amity Shales which qualifies, at least in my opinion, for the worst "history" on the Great Depression ever written. From the use of the DJIA for economic numbers to the characterization of the NRA as the entire sum of the New Deal relief programs.

Oh god...

Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. Actually, just about anything that woman wrote with regards to fiction is stupid. Anthem is awful too.

I'm actually reading that book, and out of 1084 pages, I'm in the six-hundreds. It's God-awfully boring, however, there are parts where you want to keep reading, and the plot is good.

As for Anthem, I haven't read that, but the Rush slbum 2112 was based on that book, so I wouldn't be too quick to insult it.
