Well, yeah. This is Netanyahu we're talking about. He's a nut.

Libertas, an Emirati newspaper isn't exactly the most credible source.

Any other sources for this?

Israel is our firm ally in the Middle East and we must support it unconditionally.

To be fair, I think Netanyahu had every right to stop the "peace process" until Arafat stopped all the terrorism and incitement like he promised to do by signing the Oslo Accords. Still, Netanyahu shouldn't have been stupid enough to say all this, even if he thought he was having a private conversation.

Ah, so you approve of what he did, you're just embarrassed that he was arrogant/stupid enough to say it openly.

The video is ten years old, but still.  This is very discouraging.  If Bibi isn't committed to peace, then he needs to go.

Has Bibi, at any point of his career, given serious reason to believe (outside of things he was forced to say) that he actually desired peace?  I have to say, every day for the last five years I've missed Ariel Sharon more and more, and that's saying something.

If he were commmitted to peace, he wouldn't have taken office. The electorate does not desire peace.

Bibi is a political opportunist. If it is popular to make peace and Obama wants him to do so, he will probably make peace with the Palestinians. Keep in mind that when Bibi said this, Palestinian terrorists were blowing up and killing Israeli civilians almost daily.

Not entirely true; but there's enough support for the ultra-Orthodox parties in a single-constituency PR-elected Knesset to make it very difficult for any Israeli PM to make decisive moves.

Any opposition to this idea will result in exile to the evil Iranian Empire.
