If you look at the two links on the top of the Ohio page, there's about 136,000 votes between Kerry and Bush. The total number of votes for all Presidential candidates is 5,481,756. However, there seem to be about 90,000 more ballots cast then that. I assume that could about 1.6% of ballots not having a presidential vote on them (or voided). There's also 155,000 provisional ballots, but it's not clear that all of them were cast, it just says "issued". I assume that 155,00 isn't in the total of all ballots cast, which is 5.574 million. It that's right, then 3 percent of the state had to case provisional ballots.

Kerry would have to get 88 percent of the provisional ballots to win or 55 percent of the provisional plus the 90,000 plus that you get from total ballots cast minus presidential ballots cast.

If there's at all a geographic or neighborhood or something trend on the 90,000 and the 155,000, it would be interesting to know. ;-)
