It'll go up a few points simply on the strength of the specter of "unelected president" being lifted.  He's now the choice of the American people.  Mid-fifties.

Problem for Bush is that iraq will be worse each day and economy is not still very good.

But I would like see the party id of each poll now...

The economy will continue to muddle like it has been in the near term.  Iraq looks like it will remain a muddle through the near term.  Barring any dramatic new and unexected news, I can't see anything that will swing Bish's popularity more than a point or two.  Even if the situation in Palestine change because of Arafat's death, given Bush's lack of involvement, I can't say that he would either gain or lose from it.

Two very popular Bush proposals will be a simplified tax code and partial privatization of social security.

If he pulls them off, I think his job approval will bounce.
