Assuming Chiles isn't at least close to even in the polls come October, and like most independent candidates his support collapses as election day approaches, which way would most of his voters likely go? Am I way off in thinking his family name means he's picking up significant Democratic support?

FWIW the voter survey seems extraordinarily Dem-friendly. Obama at 49-50 approve/disapprove and support for keeping/repealing health care reform at 45-49? In Florida? Not extremely far off, but not very accurate either IMHO.
