What do you all think of this band? I just found them through an mp3 sampler from their label and absolutely love them. Unfortunately they broke up in September:

I thought they were alright, but what kind of name is "I Am the Branch"? Damn hipsters.

Anyone enjoy the stylings of Robert Rich or Dream Theater?

I find Dream Theater to be a moderately enjoyable Prog metal band.

Still not as good as Porcupine Tree though.Tongue
Never listened to them, any suggestions for a beginning listener?

Any Gorillaz fans? If so, have you listened to their new album The Fall?

I did, their first two albums were amazing, after that I just kind of got lost. It got weird.

No, but I'm listening to Halleluhwah by Can. Sounds like Chameleon by Herbie Hancock, actually.

Eh, beyond Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream, and the occasional Cluster, I haven't heard the genre. I'm biased towards the extreme electroni portion, but it is funky, so I can dig it Tongue.

I don't really listen to electronic music, unless you qualify musique concrète as such. Even then, it's hardly anything.

Eh, kinda. On those bands its kind of a song-by-song basis.

The Reading/Leeds Festival lineup has been leaked:

Do want.

Eh, looks alright, can't get too excited about all of them though. I'd see it for Muse.

King Crimson anyone? I'm starting to enjoy their type of...idk, dramatic progressive rock, as opposed to the bluesy Pink Floyd, haven't heard to much of their stuff, just In the Court of the Crimson King, and In the Wake of Poseidon.

Listen to Red next, personally it's my favorite after In the Court...

I was suspicious for it's lacking Greg Lake, but it actually was good! Fripp is just that awesome I guess

Probably one of my favorite bands ever despite not being a huge fan of progressive rock in general. Red is great as was mentioned above but so are Lizard and especially Larks' Tongue in Aspic.

So much music, so little CD shops aroud Tongue

I think it was more Leviathanesque, but I'm no expert, either way it's gonna be awesome. Crack the Skye was meh, but Divinations was alright, the redeeming quality to Oblivion was Divinations.
