Tmth seems to be slow and has also expressed some doubts about his ability to take part. Is any of the other allies (or anyone else) interested in taking over? If I don't get any such reply with the next day or two I'm going to do the best given the situation and execute orders for the US myself, so we can keep this going.

I'll second this. I'm extremely wary to send any moves in, in fear I'll mess up the game for my allies, so it'd probably be best if I didn't continue on. My apologies. Sad

The Americans sneakily captured the unoccupied Norway, moved their fleet to guard the Panama canal and built transports and troops on the East coast.

And, yes, these moves were mine. If any of the current allied players (or anyone else watching) wants to take over the US, just speak up, but I felt that the game needed to get moved along. Tongue

It is now Soviet's turn. You have 26 PUs.

No, no. As I'm sure you already knew the Communist party pretty much controlled the FDR administration to begin with. Wink So the politburo has seen no changes.

So will the next American President be a Henry Wallace or a Harry S. Truman?

Will have orders for you by tomorrow morning your time, Gustaf.

Apologies to my allies that I've been busy and mostly unable to strategically assist over the past round.

The Russians invaded West Russia, where the hapless German defenders quickly surrendered without a fight. A small expeditionary force also moved in to take control of Archangelsk. In the East the Far East forces moved southwards into Buryatia to take over the border patrol duties. New infantry and tanks were mobilized.

The Luftwaffe had to step in to cover for the failures of the German navy (as usual, sighed Goering) and attacked the British and Russian naval forces in the Baltic. While the Russian submarines could not fire on the air planes they could cover for the British long enough to allow them to destroy 40% of the total German fighter force. In the Northeast German forces with air support occupied Archangelsk and recaptured Norway.

The planes over the Baltic returned to Germany, while the ones over Norway flew to Belarus where they were joined by most of the newly mobilized German armour. The German navy in the Baltic was rebuilt while only a smaller addition was made to the army.

It is now Britain's turn! You have 33 IPC.

Sorry about the delay folks, I've been busy and away from home.

The British navy in the Indian Ocean launched yet another daring raid on the Japanese controlled islands in the Pacific. This time Borneo was captured.

The British occupied Persia, mobilized new armour in India and planes and submarines in the British Isles.

The Japanese forces were on the move. In a simultaneous multi-assault they captured Alaska and Buryatia while also destroying the British naval forces in the theatre, all without losing a single unit. The main attack, however, was on India.

The British defenders cheered as the attacking Japanese fighters were shot down. The celebration was brief, however, as the Japanese in an insane twist of fate wiped out the defending forces almost without casualties.*

*For the record, the Japanese infantry rolled straight 1s. Completely insane. Overall, the Japanese luck in this round was almost unbelievable. In Buryatia every attacking unit hit and in India all the infantry hit. Out of all the defensive rolls the Allies had they only managed the one hit in India (plus shooting down the fighter, of course)
