Besides 1932 and 1944, I can't think of any. Well, mabye 1912. Taft and Wilson were not in the military but T.R. was.

1796 and 1800.  I don't think either Adams or Jefferson had military experience.

I'm not going to include those mentioned already...

1812 - Madison and DeWitt Clinton.
1844 - Polk and Henry Clay.
1884 - Cleveland and James G. Blaine
1916 - Wilson and Charles Evans Hughes
1920 - Harding and James M. Cox
1924 - Coolidge, John W. Davis and Robert M. LaFollette

I consider Hoover's WWI work as military service.

That's it as far as I can tell.

When was the last time that none of the contenders for either party's nomination had military experience?  That may well happen in 2012, as Obama didn't serve, and it's likely that no one in the 2012 GOP primary field will have served either.

Sorry for the bump, but I was thinking about this again.

To Mr. Modern: Ron Paul was in the military, if you think he has a chance/will run.

Jefferson had been a colonel in the Virginia militia.  So it really depends on what we mean by military experience.

Reagan's experience was literally making films for the Army.
