Well, never say never again, big bad fab...
I eventually vote for an astronomer...

Copernicus
Gutenberg

(and I'm ready to vote for Kepler just after Gutenberg or instead of him !)
(as for Gutenberg, I think he wasn't so influential as someone else would have done the same soon after... whereas men like Planck, Einstein or, in a way, Napoleon, St Paul or Julius Caesar, did things that were really personal and wouldn't have occurred without them or quite differently)

I can't agree with you fab. Gutenberg had more influence like the most in this Survivor. His invention of mechanical movable type printing was the start of the Reformation, the Enlightenment, the Scientific Revolution ......

Btw. I think that St. Paul was more important than Jesus. Jesus was only the leader of a small Jewish sect. St. Paul (he wasn't alone, but he is the well-known) form from this cult a own Religion and open it for the Roman Society.

My vote in this round:

As Gutenberg has no chance to go for the moment.
(unfortunately, Kepler and the Caesars may go before him Wink)
