Historically, the position of GM has been a tough one to fill, with most of the occupants only serving for a few months, Purple State notwithstanding.

What would you bring to the table, and would you model your GMship after Purple State's, Al's, or set a new "mold" altogether?

I don't want him to leave the senate. Is that selfish of me?

I would say PS's time as GM is the most emulatable since I've been here. As I've previously said, my top goal is to be as good a GM as Purple State was.

As far as what I bring to the table, I'd say the strongest points are an attention fixation mania for detail, and a near manic depressive--without the depressive--level of activity.

Sounds good - I'll be voting Aye.

Would you succumb to resistance to certain Storylines, like previous GMs have?

I have a question for the nominee, if I may.

Mr. Senator, I've seen your work as Senator over the past few terms, and I must say you have done a terrific job. If you are confirmed, would you promise to not only be an active GM but to make sure you write some interesting articles about me, hopefully for the worse?

On a serious note, I have truely enjoyed your work in the Senate. I know that you have been an active member, and if confirmed I know that you will be missed here, but we all know that you will be an active GM. Best of luck to you sir, you have my support.

Thank you for your support Senator (and DallasFan too Smiley). And yes, I hope at some point to include a sex scandal about you if the most shameful variety. In fact , I believe the underage trannie rent boys, livestock, and nuns habits are already reserved. Grin

A quick note: I'll be away for the weekend shortly, so I probably won't have much time to answer questions until Monday night. Please feel free to post questions or comments in the meantime, senators, but understand I may not respond until early next week. Thanks!

I am referring to the constant moaning as examplified by "certain" people in the current administration when against PS for the creation of a "certain" storyline taking place in a "certain" state on the Southern border, involving a former Atlasian. You kind of answered it in response to AndrewCT, though.

I just want to note that what most impressed me about Badger in my search for a new GM was his extremely substantive and consistent posts as a senator and regional assemblyman. The position of GM is one that requires you to put deep thought into posts on a frequent basis and I am confident that Badger is capable of doing so.

*Magics into existence*

I think it's now clear that in order for the position to work you need someone who is sufficiently committed to the game to put in a massive amount of quality work (you don't want a repeat of the AWN - I think that was what it was called - fiasco. That's worse than anything) for little initial reward. Badger is probably one of only posters here that could do that. You should confirm him or just abolish the position. End of.
