I kind of expected McMahon to be tied or leading in this poll today, so this isn't the worst news, I guess.

95% have seen McMahon's TV ads; a majority think they are excessive.  Only 87% have seen Blumenthal's TV ads; most find them informative.  I wonder what the geographical makeup of the 8% that have seen McMahon but not Blumenthal ads are - and if there's a significant difference in voting patterns.

Obama's job approval is underwater among Connecticut likely voters - 45-51 overall and 38-56 among independents.  Blumenthal associating with Obama might not help.

I think Blumenthal will win, but it may be a lot closer than I expected. McMahon may pull it off if she keeps flooding the market with ads. Who knows. This trend does not bode well for Blumenthal.

This poll is ridiculous. If the electorate shifts like that in November, Democrats will get wiped out nearly everywhere.

Thank God that Linda McMahon isn't Scott Brown with makeup.

McMahon has been running a very good campaign, while Blumenthal has been running a rather lazy one.  I can't say I'm surprised by these poll results.

Blumenthal is finally on the air in the NYC TV market after ignoring it for so long.  Yes, it's expensive, but McMahon's message has been going out unopposed to that 8-10% that saw her ads but not his - presumably those in Fairfield County who don't have cable (but could have a satellite provider) and watch the NYC stations.
