i noticed several small mistakes on the map:

cameron county texas is marked in blue although kerry won this county.

the same is true of st. joseph county, perry county, and vermillion county (all three in indiana). these are all kerry counties.

How many votes do you think that each candidate had?  Does it differ from the numbers on the Texas Secretary of State's web site (which match what the Atlas has)

George W. Bush/ Dick Cheney REP 34,689 50.37%
John F. Kerry/ John Edwards DEM 33,887 49.21%
Michael Badnarik/ Richard V. Campagna LIB 282 0.40%

The Cameron County website has it 34,714:33,924 (a pickup of 25:37, presumably from counting provisional ballots).

There was a mixup in Willacy County (immediately to the north) that resulted in some ballots being double-counted.  This supposedly will reduce the margin there to more like 55:45 Kerry.

Note: All data at this point is preliminary - and subject to change as the agencies certify their data.  The Indiana county data is from the Indiana Secretary of State.  Figures from today's results still show Bush winning all three of those counties.

I've seen *older* figures where Kerry had held Perry Co, Indiana.
