As the 2012 primaries approach, Obama's approval numbers are at 10-15% after a quadruple dip recession, unemployment in the kagillions, health care reform aborting all the nations' babies, and a Bo the Dog sex scandal. Every republican ever runs in the primary, including George H.W. Bush seeking a second term, and Donald Trump. These and all other nationally and locally known figures split the vote in Iowa to the point where no candidate gets above 0.4% except for...Basil Marceaux, who seemed like a joke candidate at first but because the "actual" votes were split, becomes the frontrunner and is catapulted to the national scene.
Meanwhile, voter turnout is at an all-time low in the Democratic Primary, with less people showing up than to the South Carolina Senate Primary of 2010. Much like that race, Alvin Greene, the only other candidate on the ballot, wins handily and clinches the nomination of that party.
Who wins? Discuss with maps.
