Yeah, there seems to be a general trend towards the Democrats nationally and/or away from the Republicans, for whatever reason.

This is good news.

The last TalkBusiness poll had Lincoln at 29% to Boozman's 56%. She's cut that deficit in half.

You're kidding me!!!

This is reat, but she had better pick up the pace if she's gonna win.

13 points in 13 days is not likely, but not impossible considering her cash advantage and Boozman's pathetic debate performance.

Being at 36% as an incumbent senator is 'great'?

Okay then.

Of course, she's done. At the same time, it'd be cool if she could make this one respectable. My goal for her is still to outperform Santorum 2006.

What do you suppose the Lincoln campaign HQ is like these days? Does everyone walk around in morose silence, robotically going through the motions until November 2? Or does Lincoln walk around trying to give everyone false hope?

The only reason she's up recently is because the AR democrats are starting to actually say they'll vote for her.  It's not real movement.  Incumbents almost never get below 40% in elections, unless they went on a multi-state killing spree or something.

If only most of the Democrats on here actually gave a damn about Lincoln... I still don't get why half of them in her state bothered to support her in the primary.

It's not about bragging or having anyone here care. I just want there to be a new example of a horrific loss by an incumbent.

Well, there are plenty of challengers every cycle who have a smaller chance of winning than Lincoln does now. I don't imagine all their volunteers are despondent. To be sure, it's psychologically different with an incumbent, but I can't imagine it being huge, especially with first-time volunteers.
