Schauer could be the Jim Gerlach of this cycle.  Someone who prepared early on for a tough race by discrediting his opponent.

Between this and Kuster's unexpected strength in NH-2, I'm surprised OH-1 was written off as early as it was. I know the reasoning, but it does seem as if Republican congressmen making a comeback face some incumbency issues.

Steve Pearce will probably win, but he's had a much tougher time than he should've against Teague.

It's interesting how the "First Tier" Democratic incumbents- the one's who knew from Nov. 5 that their 2010 races would be competitive, seem to be holding their ground in toss-up races.  It's the next tier up where the really catastrophic collapse is happening- think Phil Hare, Paul Kanjorski, Ron Klein, Allen Boyd, Kurt Schrader, etc.
