LOL, even Santorum got a dead cat bounce at the end (but then ended up overpolling by a lot anyway).

Is Lincoln just facing the last Southern state to realign or has she done anything in particular to piss off the voters?  Healthcare is a little too easy to say since she was struggling last year, right?

She pushed herself out into the spotlight on the health care vote/a few other votes. She made herself seem like the critical vote, which was incredibly stupid. Pryor just quietly voted for the bill, which was pretty smart.

Plus, she had a serious primary challenge from Halter which could have hurt her.

Wisdom at the time was that Senator Boozman was a fait accompli regardless of what Democrats did. Nominating Halter would merely have allowed them to lose with dignity.

All conservatives did themselves a disservice by protracting the health care debate with their waffling and dithering.
If they went with the rest of their caucus instead of trying to hide behind Olympia Snowe's skirts, then the bill would have passed many months before and they would have remained out of the spotlight.

Worth pointing out that this isn't all her "fault." Boozman's been a good candidate as well. At this point, just being a GOP senate candidate and not being SNL material is worth mentioning.
