Forrester has the best chance and he'll probably win the nomination.

This is really a Forrester-Schundler-Christie (if he runs)- DiGaetano race. Candidates like Lonegan, Murphy, and Schroeder won't reveive much support. If Kean, Jr. jumps in, he'd be considered a major candidate.

Thomas Kean Jr., said he will defiantly not run for Governor in 2005. However, he may bid for the 2006 Senate seat of Jon Corzine if he runs for Gov.

So tomorrow's the big day in NJ. While I probably won't agree with many of the ideas Codey has, I think it's good that New Jersey will now have a Governor that most people can respect. Do you know when/where the swearing in ceremonies will take?

I'm going with Forrester.

If Corzine and Codey both decide not to run, who will get the Dem nomination?

Hasn't Codey definately said he won't run? I'm also under the impression he's not really governor, just acting as governor until someone can take the spot.

I heard congressman Rob Andrews was considering challenging McGreevey in the primary, I wonder if he'll still run. If he does I'd say he's the favorite in both the primary and general unless Corzine runs, in which case he'd be the favorite in both.

Really? He's my congressman, I wouldn't mind that. He'd make a great governor.

That is right BRTD, he is the Acting Governor for the rest of McGreeveys term. He has not said that he will run for Governor yet. I thinkt hat decision pends on Sen. Corzines decision. In previous days, he has said he might not step aside even if Corzine runs. As for Congressman Andrews, he ran against McGreevey in the 1997 Primary and lost. He doesnt know if he is going to run yet. His name is being thrown around, but I doubt hell run. He is a good guy though, have met him a couple times. Stay tuned into NJ political threads in this board, because me and NixonNow are opening up a website deadeciated to the NJ Governors race in 2005. We will have all possible candidates for the Dems, and all declared candidates for the GOP, and possible GOP candidates.
