Looks like Republicans picked up 14 seats in the CT House; at least 12 in the MA House (though are currently -1 in the state senate); it looks like the GOP will win the ME Senate.

Democrats won a special election in a NJ State Senate race -- that was a pickup. Republicans won control of the county executive and freeholder board in Bergen County, NJ's largest.

Why didn't Dillard ask for a recount back then? Much larger margins have swung.

I thought the referendum in Florida only needed 60%.

Yes.

WTF? Dayton's been up by 7 for the longest time, now his lead has shrunk to 45-43 for no apparent reason.
Apparently there was a problem in Hennepin County in which they accidentally gave Dayton an extra 60,000 votes and that vote total has now been fixed.

Would it have been legal for the Murkowski campaign to hand out cards (or a stamp?) with her name on it outside the polls for voters to use to spell Lisa Murkowski?

I believe they were handing out bracelets with her name on them. Stamps can't be used.

19+12=31, or whatever. Until and unless they come close to 50, this is not an effective opposition. CT seems better, but if they loose the governor.... The brightest spot is ME.

Why didn't Dillard ask for a recount back then? Much larger margins have swung.

Because he was a moderate and Brady a favorite of the base. If he asked and Brady won he would make an enemy. If Brady lost the general he would be blamed. If he won the recount, Dillard would have been accused of stealing and Conservatives would not have come out. It was a lose-lose all around.

I guess, even if Brady loses, he still helped elect Kirk.

Holy Christ. The Democrats currently have three seats in the New Hampshire Senate. There are maybe three or four more that they might win. Lynch is lucky as hell that he got re-elected.

No.  If you look at the areas yet to report... the biggest chunks are in strong DFL territory... aka Duluth and the Iron Range (which are always some of hte last to report).

Oh, I had only glanced at the 100% in Minneapolis/St. Paul. Hope you're right.

Democrats held the position of Sheriff in Middlesex County, NJ by a relatively slim 54-46 margin. That county is changing. And Republicans won a pair of freeholder seats in Gloucester County, NJ -- the party's first win there in well over a decade.

The Democrats' demise in Arkansas appears to be real. Republicans are leading in the three statewide offices they contested (Lt. Gov., SOS, and Land Commissioner), and the Republicans are winning 6 Dem Senate seats and 15 Dem House seats.

Alabama and North Carolina's legislatures have flipped to the Republicans as well, according to NCSL.

LOL at Fox News referring to Lisa Murkowski as Write-in and not her name.

Jumping to FOX's defense (Tongue):

There are other write-ins too and they are counting them together.

No I know, but it seems like they are in Miller's camp so it just seemed funny.

Jerry Brown only ran for Governor so he could unveil this amazing victory party metaphor.
