Extremely close in OH according to the exit poll... looks like 50-48 Strickland.

Barely anything's in from Alabama so far. NC Senate is not looking good for the Dems. Don't know about the House, too many races.

WTF? Dayton's been up by 7 for the longest time, now his lead has shrunk to 45-43 for no apparent reason.

Abercrombie winning easily.

I thought the referendum in Florida only needed 60%.

Would it have been legal for the Murkowski campaign to hand out cards (or a stamp?) with her name on it outside the polls for voters to use to spell Lisa Murkowski?

I believe they were handing out bracelets with her name on them. Stamps can't be used.

Holy Christ. The Democrats currently have three seats in the New Hampshire Senate. There are maybe three or four more that they might win. Lynch is lucky as hell that he got re-elected.

The Democrats' demise in Arkansas appears to be real. Republicans are leading in the three statewide offices they contested (Lt. Gov., SOS, and Land Commissioner), and the Republicans are winning 6 Dem Senate seats and 15 Dem House seats.

Alabama and North Carolina's legislatures have flipped to the Republicans as well, according to NCSL.

Maine, Vermont, and Florida have been conceded by the second-place finishers.

If CNN's numbers are to be believed, Bridgeport is 60% in (and everything else is 100% in), and Malloy is still down by about 8,500. If the remaining 40% comes in at the same margin and proportion, it'd be pretty much a tie. So who the hell knows.

FWIW, Debicella conceded to Himes even though he is leading with 84% of the vote in. I guess that means something.

The only town that's left in CT-04 is Bridgeport, which will go heavily for Himes. I believe Debicella acknowledged that in his concession.

Vermont goes to the state legislature if nobody wins a majority, which seems likely. They'll pick Shumlin, because he got the most votes.

MN and IL are close enough to require recounts, so they're probably not going to call them until that happens.

Because, as we all know, Susan Bysiewicz is an idiot. "I'm running for Governor, no, I'm running for Attorney General, oh wait, I'm not qualified!"

Another problem with CT -- the AP reported the results for New Haven wrong, they were undercounting Malloy's total by something like 15,000 votes. So now he's ahead, with just Bridgeport left.

If you had bothered to read the article, you'd realize that the ballots aren't sinister:

"The existence of these ballots, the number of the ballots, and their location and status were fully disclosed to representatives of the Foley and Malloy campaigns during the evening of the election, and the Secretary of the State's office was also similarly notified," said Bridgeport Deputy City Attorney Arthur Laske. "Any allegation that there were missing, or newly discovered ballots by the attorney for the Foley campaign is entirely incorrect."

California's prison system is overcrowded because of the three-strikes law and overzealous prosecution of nonviolent drug offenders. And it's not going to get better because the prison guard union has an inordinate amount of political power in the state.

Sounds like New York's in for another two years of comedy or tragedy, depending on your perspective.

Just to show how civil Vermont's politics are, Peter Shumlin has appointed three of his primary opponents to posts in his administration. Matt Dunne is the only one out, but he might get appointed Treasurer since the incumbent treasurer has also joined the administration.
