No, but I'd rather have them control the Senate than the House.

House Republicans are generally considerably better than Senate Republicans, from a libertarian standpoint (same is actually true of House vs. Senate Democrats), although the GOP senate slate this year is probably the best since at least Harry Truman was president.

Road Kill:

IN, AR, WI, NE

Probable:

PA, IL, CO, NV

Toss up:

WA

On a good day:

WV, CA

Only with a 23 level archmage casting a Wish spell:

DE

I only give a GOP take over the Senate  35% chance.

This, except I think it would have to be a witch casting the spell.

No, WA, WV and some random unexpected DEM hold gives Republicans 48.

A pretty decent guess.

I don't think there will be a "random hold" and Washington is pretty close to 50/50, so I guess we are about 0.9 seats apart in our view of things.

I could see 50 seats as a real possibility, but I still can't bring myself to buy into Rossi winning just as I am having trouble seeing WV elect a Democrat in this environment. I guess we'll see in a few hours.

The best the GOP can possibly do I think is 50, so no.

I'm predicting a 50/50 split, though I agree that Lieberman could decide to caucus with the GOP in exchange for a decent committee chairmanship.

51/49 would make that moot.  It's possible, but I think it'll be tough to beat Boxer or Manchin.

Fiorina turned out to be a better candidate than I expected, but I'm not sure it's enough.  The CA GOP may end up kicking itself for passing on Campbell.

This just in - Christine O'Donnell is winning 100% of the vote in Delaware with 52,000 ballots counted . . . O'Donnell said in a press statement that "I'm not a witch, I just voted for myself."

No, but it breaking 50-50 wouldn't necessarily surprise me.
