Does Harry Reid retain Senate Majority leadership, or do Senate Democrats dump him for someone else?

Yes.  He might actually be better now.

The Reid failure was his inability to work with House liberals.  Schumer's fail would be an inability to work with House conservatives.  Reid would work better with Boehner than he did with Pelosi.

Especially with his criminal acts revolving his "re-election".

Unfortunately, Harry Reid won fair and square.

To take his senate majority position away from him after what he's been through to stay in the Senate would be horrible.

Now that he won't be running for re-election ever again I assume he'll be better than he was before. He has nothing to lose politically anymore.

After spending so much money to reelect, the Democrats are not suddenly going to turn against him. He has the position as long as he wants it.

McConnell had to run in and win a pretty close race in 2008 too. He kept his spot. If Reid wants to remain leader, I doubt that anyone is going to step in and seriously try to stop him.

Absolutely, and "he wants it," now more than ever. With Pelosi out of the picture, he is the go to man for all Congressional Dems, who want to influence Obama on how, if at all, he compromises with the GOP. The big questions, as the pawns are moved around, is whether none, one, or both parties consider a government shutdown in their political interest. That is not clear to me.

Yes. His political position is actually stronger after results in Nevada.

Especially with his criminal acts revolving his "re-election".

Just another sore loser...

I think there is a political calculation, but that would include a cost.
