Having walked over to Penn Station and realizing that there are high-speed trains I hadn't seen before, I withdraw this bill.

Since the Senate has deemed this to be in the purview of the regions, I am proposing it here.

I am re-reintroducing this, as I was going to draft my own but realized one had already been proposed:

Peoples' Defense Against Distracted Driving Act of 2012

1. All vehicle operators while driving in the Northeast Region shall be restricted from the following activities:

  • using hand-held cell phones in any capacity
  • using electronic devices like laptop computers, video games, cameras, video entertainment displays and programming portable audio players, e.g. MP3 players
  • reading printed materials in the vehicle
  • writing, printing or sketching
  • personal grooming

2. The penalty for the first offense shall be a fine of $200.00

3. The penalty for the second offense shall be a fine of $600.00, and the driver must complete a mandatory distracted drivers course and a mandatory safe driving course

4. Any further offenses will result in a fine of $1000.00 per offence, with the suspension of the offender's license for a year.

Would Scott be considered a member of "the people" inasmuch he is not a member of the legislature?

I am looking for a sponsor here:

As a former member of this house, I would like to propose a postprandial (yes, postprandial-- I just had lunch) amendment and/or new bill, since the proofreading amendment seems to have done nothing:

Right now this bill is without effect since the operative words "berween" and "incestial" are not actually words and thus render the following clauses meaningless. Furthermore, the Same Love Act of 2014 made incestous marriage legal, which this bill does not address, meaning that even if "berween" and "incestial" meant what they were supposed to mean, you could legally marry a blood relative but could engage with sexual relations with that person. I urge this house to consider my revision.
