https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=126489.0Oh boy, my region never fails to amuse me! Some things never change, I guess.
But, a few problems I see here.
- Please specify between PM and AM when stating the times the booth is open! As is, it's extremely ambiguous.
- When the booth was made it was still CDT, not CST. Thus the vote was actually started illegally early and, hilariously, an hour before the booth was opened. Just use "Central Time" as that's already defined to adjust for daylight savings time in regional statute.
- WE USE APPROVAL VOTING FOR THESE OFFICES. Specify that in the opening post.
- You're supposed to have a fully tally of the vote when you close the booth. It's in the Constitution.
- IF THE OFFICE OF THE LT. GOVERNOR IS VACANT THEN A SPECIAL ELECTION MUST BE CALLED TO FILL IT. WHY HAS THIS NOT BEEN DONE.
- The region has no rules requiring that a candidate declare a write-in candidacy. Therefore, the Lt. Governor race here was actually as follows (interpreting a ranked list as approval of all candidates listed)
4 SPC
2 John Dibble
1 PiT
1 JBrase
1 KS21
I don't really know what the procedure here would be, but either give the office to SPC (is he even active?) or have a new election for the office since it's "vacant". It can't stay vacant like this.
There's probably some more, but those are the big issues I see, anyway.
