If you are an American who believes that all Europeans are the same, you should take a look at this little film, which brilliantly demonstrates differences in mentality and society between Italy and Northern Europe.

Bruno Bozzetto's short comedies are worth a watch!

yes and no was observational.  if you like seinfeld or king of the hill, give "yes and no" a look.

Adam was a little unsettling.  (I'm recently married)  But the audio was cool.  in the back of your head, you have to wonder what he'd have wished for after the fifth baby was born.  I'm thinking he wanted to kill the bitch by then.

I've been to Italy before and I must say that the driving there is pretty hectic, especially in Naples.

As for the other categories, well, it just got ridiculous after awhile. Typical EU fans - always thinking their Europe is a utopia Tongue

True. Europe varies from ultra conservative (Poland) to ultra liberal (Denmark). Poland makes Alabama look socially liberal!

Well that was a little hateful and stereotypical movie.

I'm proud of my Italian heritage, I've been to Italy and I thought the movie was funny. Some of those things are true. Driving in Italy is insane, that's for sure. But the funniest thing in the movie was how everything else in Europe is perfect. That's certainly not true.

As a representative of "people who state the obvious and wish that the smilies were here so we could tell whether people were being sarcastic", I'd like to notify you that that film was not to be taken seriously.  Thank you.

Italy is great. My favourite country after Britain. I spent week on the Island of Ischia in the Naples Bay. Very fantastic.

But yes traffic is insane, but isn't it so in most  Mediterranean nations? I was in Spain and Greece when I was kid and I remember something like that.

I love Italy.
The people there are so cultured and stylish.
You certainly don't seem to get the hickish, redneck element you find in Britain (i.e chavs!).

The UK is infested with 'rednecks' accept we don't call them that. Here they're called different things depending on whereabouts in Britain you live.

In Scotland, they're called 'NEDS' (Non-Educated-DelinquentS)
In Northern England they're called Scallies, Chavs, Charvas and Kappa Slappas.
In the South they're called Kevs, Townies & Rude Boys.

Basically they're just a**eholes. Of very low intelligence, invariably criminal, occassionally toothless and usually very violent. The girls also usually have about 6 children by the time they're 16 all to different fathers.

Those seem to be more like urban hip hop types then rednecks. Rednecks are more rural in nature and farmers usually.
