And she would have been the nominee had she run.

Even if Hillary Clinton gets the nomination, I will sit in a dark corner with a tin hat, rock back and forth in the fetal position, and mumble "Bayh...Richardson...Warner...Bayh...Richardson..." Wink

Me too, except I would remove "Richardson" from my mumbling.

Fellow centrists, I wouldn't lose heart with this poll. Things WILL be very different come 2008!

Hillary is not Bill and I have deep doubts as to whether she can win the presidency. A moderate Republican would crucify her and a conservative would beat her too, albeit more narrowly

The Democrats have a good chance with an "electable" centrist

Lets give Hillary credit for one thing.

She 'gets it' with respect to illegal immigration.

The voters have had enough of rewarding illegal immigrants.

Bush hasn't gotten the message.

I am sure that Bush will increasingly get the message over the next four years after he does not have to rely on the Hispanic vote any longer.

You're hardly a centrist Dave. Calling you a centrist would be the equivalent of calling Keystone Phil a centrist. You aren't not from the way you look at issues and not the way you vote in the Fantasy elections. You're a Democrat and stop trying to talk for centrists when you aren't one.

My top two choices for 2008 Dem. nominees are-
1.Hillary Clinton
2.Michael Moore

Wow. Hillary is actually the more electable presidential candidate.

Being a moderate, and not too ideological, I'm closer to the centre than I am to the left. True, I am a Democrat - but we are not all ultra-liberals - and I'm sure my opinions are shared by other moderate Democrats

On the political compass, I'm a moderate liberal populist, which puts me just to the left of centre; that said, perhaps the words 'moderate Democrat' best define me
