Is it possible that Labour voters are leaving for FG in fear of a 'Guns and Roses' scenario?

That's not a day too early.

It would be a shame though if we didn't get to see a PC 1993-style collapse of FF now.

I notice that I missed out on the Government satisfaction rating in the Millward Browne Lansdowne poll: 5-94-1

Is there any government in the developped world with a worse approval rate?
And if only 5% of the people apporve of the government, where's Martin going to find room to grow for even a temporary boost?

Fine Gael have announced that Enda Kenny will only debate on the following terms:
One 5-way debate on RTÉ on Monday the 15th.
One 3-way debate to be on shared transmission on the Tuesday the 22nd.

Isn't that just basically asking to have the debates go on without you and shooting yourself in the foot?

Best to ask this now rather than later...

How do we watch the results when they come in?

The SF bump seems to be over?

Even if seeing FF getting their due will be nice, I must confess to feeling disappointed with the Republic of Ireland. Are you really going to elect Enda Kenny Ireland?

Labour: 7
Greens: 3
SF: 1
FF: -1
FG: -10

So I guess I'm more anti-Fine Gael than anything else.

I see the exit poll is being announced at 8am. Is there a particular reason why Ireland doesn't make people stay up into the wee hours to learn who's going to govern the country? I know NI used to do it.

Counting transfers in an STV system takes too long. If they did it overnight, they wouldn't have any results until 4 am or so anyway.

So there is no point in watching television coverage of election night?
