Julian Assange and Hugo Chavez are now saying that Secretary Clinton "should resign" as well.  My conspiracy theory radar is picking up a low-level signal.

On the general point of the datadump, while much of the reporting has dismissed the information as uninteresting and unsurprising, it will, of course, affect at least the short-term future effectiveness of American diplomatic reporting as American contacts are liable to be less candid in what they say given the greatly increased chance that their remarks may become public; and, American diplomats will no doubt be more circumspect in their reporting for much the same reason.

Whether this will have any real consequences, who knows?
