The place is going to be a gold mine. Elmer Gantry would be proud.

Not merely a candidate, but the sitting Democratic governor.

Oh my.

But this is the state where the Democratic legislature passed a resolution saying that God is their last defense against terrorism, IIRC.

Too bad that they were unable to find a last line of defense against stupidity.

Has nothing to do with party. It's about bringing money to the state. Nutter cash spends just as well as yours.

My intention was that people would only discover which candidate after reading the article...

Wouldn't expect anything else from the state that voted for Rand Paul. Tongue

Well, better in a theme park than in schools, I guess. Ugh.

Well, it'll be a low turnout primary, one could easily see the KY GOP nominating an ideological purist, could help Besh position himself where he needs to be.

Yeah that's right. This is the same Governor who also allowed for a ton more casinos to be built everywhere after all.

I saw an ad for the Creation Museum on Fox News the other day.

As I have stated before on this forum I believe that man was created by God and that it is better for children to understand that they are unique creations of an almighty God rather than the Darwinistic view that they are accidents.... but I generally find that "Creation science" props up pastoral interpretations of creation rather than scientific examinations of God's actual methods of creation.

Regardless of the evolution vs. creationist argument, I'm pretty sure most of Kentucky's children are viewed as accidents anyway.

Why is this controversial?  Most Americans believe in creation and the park artist renderings look interesting if they can pull it off.  I'd like to see a correctly sized Ark just to see what it was like from the Bible and would pay to go there.  We see the seeds of persecution coming down the pipeline.  Not too long from now you all will be calling for beheadings of Christians under the sway of a one world dictator - leave us alone until your time comes.

Speaking of creepyness: Former NY Governor Pataki was on Fox News the other day calling for a mandatory biochip for all Americans in order to fly.  Ditto the news from Wikileaks on the King of Saudi Arabia calling for chip implants inside of the guantanamo bay detainees.

So a majority of Americans believe in creationism and they also manage to be the persecuted minority?

Oh my.

But this is the state where the Democratic legislature passed a resolution saying that God is their last defense against terrorism, IIRC.

When is He not?

When the government is forbidden from endorsing any religion, or religion generally, by the terms of the 1st Amendment.
