Social issues and the fact that 75% of the democrats were AWOL as far as National security is concerned.

I don't like the 'county club' Republicans, who exercise an influence in the party all out of proportion to their numbers.

Oh like how more Democrats in congress served in war-time then Republicans?

Social issues are the big one for me. Although I agree on most economic issues as well.

I just despise the hate-mongering of the far-right...that's actually one of the main things that drove me to the Democratic party.

Social issues slightly more than economic issues. I generally agree with the Republicans on both however.

Definitely economic issues, but the real answer to why I am in my party is, "There are only two viable parties, and the other one nauseates me."

You and I agree here almost exactly.

Both, but moreso economics, and the fact that the GOP is run lock stock and barrel by big corporations. The religious right as well, though they don't scare me as much as corporate interests.

Social issues, since they are more important principles to me. I tend to lean towards the Democrats on those, at least idelogically. However, I think I lean Republican on economy.

Social issues.  Both parties are tolerably right wing on economic issues - the GOP to a rather extreme degree, the Democrats to a very practical degree.  Bu the modern GOP is horribly intolerant on social issues.

Economics. I was kind of surpised by the tally until I remembered that many on this forum are quite young.

Yeah, but I'm a Republican at heart and by registration. I just changed the color because I don't want to be pigeon-holed by all the blues around here.
