It seems the lovable antics of Ms. Carrolyn Parrish have offended the  Prime Minister of Canada to the point where he has kicked her out of caucus.  I'd like to see the media be more supportive of her, because I feel she has quite a bit of courage to be as outspoken as she is.

Would it be feasible for her to join the NDP?  What little I know of her makes it unlikely she would join either the Conservatives or the BQ.

Well, she wouldn't joing the Bloc due to the fact she is an Ontario MP and I would think anti-seperatism. The Conservatives hate her almost as much as the Liberals, if not more. I don't know if the NDP would accept her, however the best political move for her would be to remain an independent. NDPers just dont get elected in suburbia.

That's what she wanted. She said that she would have kicked her out if she was in his shoes.

All I can say is- I love this woman!

The Liberal Party's rightward swing continues.

Martin is a great prime minister and I'm glad I voted Liberal in the last election.

I'm not sure how this constitutes a "rightward swing".  If someone alienates your closest international partner and then denounces both you and your party, you'd be crazy not to gently show that person the door.  Jack Layton would probably have done the same thing, at least after what was the final straw for Martin.

This doesn't constitute a rightward swing. The party has swung far to the right since Chrétien left office. This is just a sign that the party, and Martin in particular, is vastly differant from the Chrétien government.

Any left wing administration in Europe would never have given the boot to someone who did what Parrish did, nor would the Democratic Party.

Cretin would have probably promoted her.

I never thought I'd say this, but the way things are going now- I truly do miss Chretien. Damn Martin, he is a very weak leader.  But i haven't seen him use pepper spray yet, so perhaps it's too early to judge ;-)
