favorable / unfavorable among GOP primary voters:

Gingrich 52% / 26%
Huckabee 63% / 20%
Palin 64% / 28%
Romney 66% / 18%

Huckabee leads among women, and Romney leads among men.
Huckabee leads among those 30-45, while Romney leads among those over 45.

Then again, I always found it annoying that MI was percieved safe for Romney just because his father (!) was governor. Even though Romney could never win MA, which he himself governed (not in the general, anyway)
Or because he managed to win there in 2008 even though McCain clearly had the momentum at the time...

momentum made it closer, Romney was dominating the state no matter the losses before that

What really won Michigan for Romney was $.  He outspent McCain and Huckabee by enormous margins.  He also outspent them in Iowa and NH, but advertising matters less in those states than others, and retail politics matters more.

$ is also how he managed to briefly take the lead in the polls in FL, even after McCain got a momentum boost from winning SC.  But Crist's endorsement of McCain robbed Romney of the chance of scoring an upset victory there.
