Think suspense, think History (Schröder against an out-of-date Kohl with no suspense... well...that wasn't History !), think continuing influence (1998 wasn't very influential I think; Schröder himself was, because of a certain decline in Germany, but the election wasn't important in itself).

And chaos is a very entertaining thing in elections Grin.
Predictable results are boring. Don't think only "SPD victory", Hans Wink.

I'm a bit sad a Weimar election didn't win this, but that would have really been a surprise.

I think it was a bit less biased than expected Grin. So it kept a minimal suspense, which is the most important thing.
