I am not against the current proposal, but I do think we might consider replacing through a vote by the party members, either by election or consenting to a nomination by the Chairman.

What about one where, if three party members or more object it's forced to a vote?

Since this is a pressing issue for us, I don't want to overcomplicate this, which I am afraid that would do.  We need representation in the Senate right now, and so I would have no problem supporting your original proposal as is.  I imagine we can always reconsider it at a future convention if needed.

In that case, I am putting the amendment up for a vote - Popularis have 24 hours to vote Aye, Nay, or Abstain.

Although I prefer an election, I agree with non sine diis animosus infans that any controversy surrounding a replacement could be addressed in the future. Aye.

It passes unanimously.

I announce that, owing to the fact I won the recent election, I am appointing myself ahead of time.

24 hours to object.
