I was under the impression that Heineman was a "moderate" Republican that Tea Party types hate?  I think that would give him some primary trouble.

If that were the case, he would have had a serious challenge this year for the governorship. Plus, he has a ~70% approval rating in deep-end conservative Nebraska, which I wouldn't expect from a moderate hero.
