I'll do a state by state analysis.


First off,


Missouri




Clinton's best districts were the first (St. Louis, with 68% to Bush's 19%) and the 5th district (Kansas City, with 52% of the vote to Bush's 26%)

Bush's best district was the 7th (he won 45% of the vote to Clinton's 36%).


The rest of Missouri's congressional districts (except for the 3rd)  were decided by single digits.  


Perot's best showing was in the 6th, where he won 27% of the vote to Bush's 32% and Clinton's 40%.

Edit:  Bush was able to break 50% in the second district (Cincinnati suburbs) while Clinton carried the 1st district (Cincinnati w/suburbs) by only a few hundred votes.  

Clinton's best showing was in the 11th district (Cleveland), where he broke 70%.

They actually had this logged in the atlas, which is where I got the CD map from (no point in re-doing it).

Perot lost the second CD by only 4.53%, his best CD in the nation.  LOL

I will now also be getting most of the CD boundries from the atlas (as Niki the Shiwawa pointed out, the boundries for the year 2000 are on the site, and the boundries in 2000 were the same for 1992), while getting the vote % data from the 1996 Almanac of American Politics.

Instead of writing a summary, I will simply take questions and or comments on each map.  I'd be happy to answer.  Smiley

It's because many of Phoenix's black/hispanic neighborhoods were gerrymandered into the 2nd district.
