No, the typical american is not as interested in politics. So not only is he ignorant, like the majority of people in any country, but his ignorance is actually applied to something important - a bad combination.

I actually disagree with this sentiment.

I don't care how liberal he is, he makes some damn good movies. And it doesn't bother me to have his fat self appear in them either.

Just as long as he keeps making documentaries and doesn't move into the porn industry, he's good in my book.
