You should address your congratulations directly to Mitt Romney.

How great would be Mitt Romney landslide over Paul Tsonagus in 1978?

I assume FDR would like to keep Romney as running-mate in 1944, which would led him directly to the White House in April 1945, but there's one problem with such speculation: Wallace was dropped because Democratic leader feared he may become, in a light of FDR's health, next President. So wouldn't they (assuming we follow this speculation) want a Republican out of ticket in 1944?

Just my two cents.

Good updates, though, as you admitted, far to biased towards the Romney family.

To be fair, we all have some bias.

Winfield, I have to admit I'm enjoying this story so far.
Do not disappoint

I guess so. I guess I've been somewhat biased towards the Goldwaters in some of my timelines despite not agreeing with them on a number of issues.

I'm horribly biased toward Walter Mondale.

Never in the field of human history has so much bias been written about so many by so few.  Smiley

(with thanks to WC)

I'm sure Polish airmen would appreciate this.

There's one criticism I have so far: lack of butterflies. Sorry, Winfield, but with such changes, lack of any major (beside personal) butterflies isn't pausible.

A Republican, Antone Kimball Romney was asked by President Truman to become Postmaster General, serving 1949-1953.

Not President Tydings?

I agree. It's simply impossible to not have butterflies over a course of so many years.

It's totally impausible to change individual careers without changing the course of history.

To clarify with reference to the artist George Romney, his uncle, Thomas Romney, (1709-1776), was a great grandfather of Miles Romney, (1806-1877).  Miles Romney was a great great grandfather of Mitt Romney.

So wikipedia provides two contradicting versions. Fail.

I admit that this TL, despite all intentional bias and my own dislike for the Romneys, is fairly entertaining.

Unless the DNC is a deliberate comedy attempt (which I suspect)...

RFK wasn't that dumb to deliver speech like this. He'd rather say some demagogically, but sound, BS.

Since RFK is alive TTL, I doubt McGovern would run, since in RL he was a merely late stand-in for Kennedy's delegates.

While Governor, Maddox was surprisingly "tolerant", in contrast to his previous, shameful behavior. I just don't see saying this in this place.

Last, but not least, I don't think candidates were allowed (correct me if I'm wrong) to deliver their own nomination speeches (for example, Ribicoff did McGovern nomination speech).

But, if this is a comedy attempt, then it's successfull, even if, naturally, hackish Wink

Interesting Pick. However I'm not sure if Church would accept such an offer, giving the fact his seat was up for reelection a very same November (McGovern's seat too, but he seems to not care)
