I oppose this act and I will veto if it is passed. A "none of the Above" option is quite silly when you can either leave that part of the ballot blank or write in a candidate.

Having an aditional run off is a waste of time as well.

Be careful, Mr. President, or 'None of the Above' could become a formidable opponent in February.

§ 5 Presidential elections will be unaffected by this act.

He's allways free to propose an ammendment to that. Smiley

I think I will.  None of the Above should be a viable option in any federal election on the Atlas Forum.

I hereby propose an amendment to strike section 5 from this bill.

As a week has passed I hereby open the voting on the amendment put forward by Sen. Stevennick to remove section 5.

Please vote Yea, Nay or abstain.

As we currently only have 9 Senators following IrishDemocrat's resignation, the five vcotes in favour of the amendment means that it passes.

Now would all please begin voting on the Act itself.

With five votes in favour and only nine senators this vote has passed.

All further votes will be counted but I present this to the President for his signature and thus stamp of approval.
