A potentially easy D+1. It would be so hilarious to see Republicans throw away this seat.

It would be hilarious if the two Dem pickups in 2012 are Maine and Massachusetts due to teabagging.

Don't get your hopes up, Dems. The Tea Party base is next to nonexistent in MA.

Which is ironic, considering what the name's celebrating Smiley)

Anyway, it's not only tea party base that's small there, but the GOP base in general isn't large either. A small subset of a small set isn't so small. Still, of course, it's not going to succeed. He is a lot more likely to lose in the general.

He has more cash than God ($7 million) and could probably personally call every potential Republican primary voter in the state and plead his case if he wants to, there are so few of them, so I wish I could say this is going to be more than a little distraction, but I doubt it.

I don't think this will succeed, but I didn't think that about Delaware either.

One PAC threatening to fund a challenger is now considered a "teabagging"?

Said it just about as well as I could. There are plenty of conservatives here in Massachusetts, but almost all of them are pragmatic enough to like Scott Brown and recognize that "he's no Bill Weld."

Of course, the primary challenge holed Chaffee even though he survived it.

And he hasn't even launched his bid to raise even more money and votes.  Not gonna happen.
